Tenmyouya Hisashi Solo Exhibition “Rhyme Ⅱ” Mizuma Art Gallery (Tokyo,Japan)

This was on display at my “Rhyme II” exhibition in 2014. In the original “Rhyme” exhibition in 2012 I showed paintings inspired by such cavalry images as Leonardo Da Vinci’s Battle of Anghiari, and an installation of a red-tinted Zen garden. Coming two years later, “Rhyme II” can be considered as a sequel that shares the same basic idea. The carved parts on the wooden frames of Brutal, Blood and Mirror, as well as the sculpture Holy Tower, were made based on my own sketches by a danjiri (wooden cart) sculptor specializing in danjiri for the Danjiri festival in Kishiwada. Holy Tower was set up in front of Brutal in the center, with Blood placed to the left and Mirror to the right of Brutal.

天明屋尚個展「韻 Ⅱ」ミヅマアートギャラリー (東京)

2014年の個展「韻 Ⅱ」展に展示された作品。2012年に開催した個展「韻」展では、レオナルド・ダ・ヴィンチ作「アンギアーリの戦い(Battle of Anghiari)」などの騎馬図に着想を得て描いた絵画と、真紅に染まった枯山水のインスタレーションを展示。2年ぶりの個展となる「韻 Ⅱ」展は、その前回個展と根底で世界観を共有し、続編とも言える内容である。「荒」「血」「鏡」の額縁四方の木彫部分と「証の塔」は、岸和田地車(だんじり)祭りの地車を専門に制作している地車彫刻家に、私の下図をもとに制作を依頼し創り上げた木彫立体作品である。左に「血」、中央に「荒」、右に「鏡」を設置し、「荒」の全面に「証の塔」を配置し展示した。
