Roji Sera project

Roji Sera debuted in 2017. He is a contemporary artist who creates works that fuse and reconstruct Japanese culture with sculptures inspired by Japanese anime and manga, incorporating Marcel Duchamp's readymade techniques and assemblage.

Serada Jirōsaburō Motonobu, who was said to be Tokugawa Ieyasu's body double, and "Rose Sélavy," the pseudonym of Marcel Duchamp when he cross-dressed. I named myself Roji Sera from an anagram of these two names, and Roji Sera is my own pseudonym.

This experimental project, which I continued as a new artist, was conceptual art that incorporated the Japanese "yatsushi" aesthetic into both the artwork and the artist himself.

世良郎二プロジェクト

世良郎二は2017年にデビュー。日本のアニメやマンガなどから引用した造形物を、マルセル・デュシャンのレディメイド的手法やアッサンブラージュにより、日本の文化を融合、再構築した作品を制作している現代美術家。

徳川家康の影武者とされた世良田二郎三郎元信。現代美術の祖であるマルセル・デュシャンが女装した時の変名ローズ・セラヴィ。その二つのアナグラムから私が名付けたのが世良郎ニであり、世良郎ニは私の別名義である。

新人作家として活動を続けた実験的なプロジェクトであり、日本の「やつし」の美意識を作品レベルと作家そのものにも援用したコンセプチュアル・アートであった。
